Meko is an Enterprise & Supplier Development programme manager. We exist because B-BBEE was legislated to redress an economy deliberately built to exclude Black South Africans — and because that redress only becomes real when a business that was locked out ends up trading on merit.
ESD is one of the few instruments in the framework that can shift actual economic participation rather than simply record it. It is also where good intentions break down — not for lack of will or budget, but because nobody owns the work between a corporate and the businesses it is meant to develop.
Meko was built to own that work. We run managed programmes that take capable Black-owned businesses from qualification through development to graduation as approved vendors. For the corporate, that means targets met and evidence that holds. For the business, it means a position in the economy that does not depend on anyone’s goodwill next year.
Compliance is the floor; transformation is the point. Meko is positioned as a programme manager — corporate-appointed, but accountable to the outcome on both sides. Our value is the work in between: qualification, diagnosis, costed development, controlled funding, and evidence that survives audit. Done properly, everyone wins, and the framework does what it was designed to do.

Corporate-led, but straight with suppliers. We tell businesses the truth about where they stand and what it takes — because that's the only way development sticks.
Evidence and rigour
We work to the Codes of Good Practice and prepare documentation that stands up to a SANAS-accredited verification. Detail is the difference between points earned and points lost.
Outcomes that last
A match that doesn't survive isn't success. We aim for commercial relationships and supplier growth that continue long after the programme year closes.
